I measured the hook-part that goes over the door and it is 1 3/8" wide (just under 1 and a half inches). I tried the hanger on my apt front door (just under 2" wide), but it would not go over the front door. Also, the metal that the hanger is made from is too thick to bend, so you will not be able to mold it to fit ove…

I would think so, it fits over a wood bedroom door with no problem

It will at least fit over a 1 1/2" door. But I do not know about anything thicker than that. I no longer have it.

The platinum color does not have a matte finish. It has a medium level of gloss.

These are all powder painted so the gloss you get will be kind of a medium gloss if you will. But, none of our products are matte finish.
